The Legendary grand Tour, North Devon – Saturday 24th – Monday 26th August 2019

A fundraising event for a very worthy cause of the Children's Hospice South West.

Always a fantastic long weekend away and this year was no different, very busy but fun.  From the drive down on the Friday, setting up then shopping.  Saturday is the calm before the storm with a day to do our own thing followed but a short run in the evening starting from the Borrows in Westward Ho!  Early rise on the Sunday morning, manically getting ready and then down to the sea front at Westward Ho! to meet up with everyone else on the run, the band plays and we set off around 11am.  Monday, also an early rise but this time its on with the fancy dress and down to Victoria Park in Bideford, again the band plays and 11am off we go with the entrance to the park lined with people supporting the event as well as all the way along the route with the bikes with buckets stopping for donations from them.  All through the back lanes, through the hospice, on to the valley of the rocks for a well earned break and comfort stop!!!  This run ends up in Ilfracombe around 4pm, depending on where you are in the convoy, and comfort break and a quick pint then back to Bideford for fish and chips on the quay.
