It was a wet Saturday morning in September but nothing stops us from attending Mini Action day at Castle Combe for the first time we took both Mini’s Flintoff and Mercury.
On our short journey to the event we met lots of other Mini’s which formed a lovely long convoy to Combe.
Still raining we found our fellow members parked at a hard standing pitch on the other side of the Avon tyres grassy mound. We were wondering how we were going to pitch the gazebo into the hard ground so Nick went off to ask if there was another spot.
This was the first time to our knowledge that this part of the track had been used for Mini clubs and weren’t overly happy as no one knew we were there. Any way we made camp on our new grassy pitch we were given, set up the gazebo with little Freddies help and put the kettle on.
The rain started to ease off around 12pm and we all went for a wander to see what was about.
Lots of other club stands and stalls selling parts and bits and bobs.
Plenty of mini’s bombing around the track all having a good time.
