On the 25th of October the club took a trip to Barrington court to take part in their annual apple day.
A very good turn out on the day but I think that maybe down to the fact that cider making and tasting was mentioned as part of the advert for the day!!
Barrington Court is set in beautiful grounds and was used in the filming of Wolf Hall and the Six Wives. With its stunning gardens and great history there was plenty to see and do there for both adults and children.
As well as the house and gardens there was also the apple day activities taking place, this included apple collecting, apple pressing, apple juice and cider tasting, painting using apple pieces and lots of food stalls selling anything and everything apple.
Within the grounds there was also local crafts people selling a wide range of handmade pottery, Jewellery, paintings and carpentry.
There were Morris dancers putting on displays throughout the day on the veranda outside the house and a certain Rich Clark decided to be one of the volunteers to go up and join in!!! Well done Rich for making a fool of yourself!!
All in all a great day out.
