Our usual group of Nick, me (Dawn), my grandson Ian and his friend Lee, Sarah, Graham and children, arrived at Trevelgue caravan park to find it is now called View Resort and what a great surprise, a lot of the caravans have been renewed and are really posh and comfortable.
We found the entertainment in the club house to be its usual standard, not very good, but ok once you’d had a few beers.
The show itself was not actually in the park but in the field next to it which was ok this year as it did not rain much but if it had rained I could not see anyone wanting to take their pristine minis in to the Show ‘n’ Shine on a muddy field.
Even fewer traders this year, fewer minis and more other types of cars were there but my, they were all proper mini lovers.
The weather was fairly good, it only rained on the Saturday morning and drizzled a bit on the Sunday so it did not spoil things for the Show ‘n’ Shine or the organised mini run around Newquay and it was good weather for driving there and back home.
As the caravans are so nice there now hopefully this will encourage more people to attend next year.
Fingers crossed the mini 30 I have just purchased for Ian (it is in dire need of a respray but all else is good) will be ready for next year and he can drive me to Newquay for a change.
It would be great to have more club members attending next year.
Dawn.
