Trevelgue, Newquay, the first big event in the mini year.
It used to be that the convoy would make its way along the M4, M5, A30, stopping at motorway service stations for more minis to join, not so much in recent years though. A lot of us make our way down on the Friday now and have the extra day there.
This year Dawn and Nick in their minis, Dawns grandson (Ian) and a mate in a Peugeot were in one caravan with Sarah and Graham Phillips with their three children, in their non-mini, in another caravan, side by side.
Friday night at the club, Ian got us drunk on jager bombs!!!! Bless him, us older ones can’t do shots like we used to, hangovers Saturday!!!
The weather was pretty good which was nice as the show ‘n’ shine always looks good on the Sunday without rain.
Not so many minis go these days but the people who go are the ones that love them and the whole weekend has a good atmosphere to it.
Looking forward to Newquay 2015, all are welcome to join us there.
